Governor Clement Shelter Appalachian Trail. Rutland, VT

Governor Clement Shelter located in Rutland, Vermont. This logo was really had to coe up with a concept. Only because Governor Clement died in 1927.  Even the shelter was only described as a party shelter and should be avoided at all cost when hiking along the AT.

For this logo, I got the idea of the silhouette of his head. From when my grandparents survived through the Great Depression and they kept on to everything. And Noticed they had random silhouettes of presidents and their kids. I put his silhouette in a badge form because I wanted to honor him. I pulled the colors from the Vermont state flag, because that is where he was a governor at. I added the seal across and the slits in the side to represent the front of the train called the pilot. Only because he was railroad owner, helped fund and connect two cities in Vermont.
